How F4Bio protects confidential scientific, technical and proprietary information when artificial intelligence tools are used in connection with its professional services.
F4Bio may use artificial intelligence tools for professional purposes in connection with the provision of its services. Their use is governed by strict confidentiality, information security and contractual requirements.
Different tools may be used depending on the specific need, but only through professional services subject to appropriate contractual safeguards. F4Bio does not use consumer or public versions of AI services for processing client confidential information.
Information entrusted to F4Bio may include confidential scientific and technical data, analytical results, development information, methods, know-how, trade secrets, intellectual property and information relating to existing or potential patent rights.
Such information is treated as confidential and is only processed for the purposes of the relevant assignment. F4Bio applies data minimisation principles and limits any information transmitted to an artificial intelligence service to what is reasonably necessary for the professional activity concerned.
Client documents, data, prompts and other confidential information submitted through the professional artificial intelligence services used by F4Bio are not used to train the providers’ general-purpose models under the applicable professional service terms.
Client information is not intentionally made publicly available or shared for independent exploitation by the technology provider.
Use of an artificial intelligence service does not transfer ownership of client confidential information, know-how or intellectual property to F4Bio’s technology providers. Such providers are only permitted to process submitted information to the extent required to provide the contracted service and in accordance with the applicable professional terms.
F4Bio does not grant technology providers any independent right to use, commercialise or exploit client confidential information, trade secrets, intellectual property or know-how beyond what is necessary to operate the contracted service.
The interface used by F4Bio to access artificial intelligence services is hosted locally on F4Bio-controlled equipment and remains under F4Bio’s direct control. Connections to selected professional AI services are made through direct API integrations.
F4Bio does not route client information through an additional third-party AI gateway, model aggregator or external hosting layer. Data exchanges with the professional AI services are encrypted in transit.
Artificial intelligence remains an assistance tool. Client-facing analyses, recommendations and deliverables remain under F4Bio’s professional responsibility and are subject to appropriate human review before use or delivery.
The use of artificial intelligence does not replace F4Bio’s professional judgement, scientific assessment or responsibility for the services provided.
F4Bio’s professional AI providers operate under contractual data-processing and security frameworks. Where personal data would exceptionally be involved, the applicable Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), international-transfer safeguards and, where relevant, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) provide the corresponding data-protection framework.
F4Bio’s services are not intended to use artificial intelligence for processing personal, patient, health or genetic data unless this is specifically assessed and agreed within the relevant contractual framework.
Applicable contractual, confidentiality, security and data-protection documentation is available through the official references below. Where an additional professional service is used for a specific assignment, the corresponding documentation can be provided on request.
Copies of relevant contractual documents or security certifications may also be provided directly on request where appropriate.
